Experiences

In-person experiences create something that images alone cannot — connection, presence, and shared memory. When people gather in the same space to reflect, speak, and be seen, new stories are formed while old ones are honored. This is where community is strengthened and where documentation becomes more than record-keeping; it becomes participation. Through portrait sessions, archival work, and programs like Labor Of Love & The Family Matters these moments are designed to bring people together, invite reflection, and create memories that can be carried forward as part of a living story.

A Legacy Portrait & Storytelling Experience

Every object holds a story.

Every story creates a legacy.

Every legacy connects us to the future.

Labor Of Love — a living archival portrait and oral history experience created by Atlanta photographer and archivist John Stephens.

Participants are invited to bring an Object Of Love that represents legacy in their lives. Through conversation, portraiture, and documentation, they share the story behind the object while being photographed and recorded as part of a growing community archive.
